Council President Sara Nelson (Position 9) is joined by local care providers to announce details of a resolution that would dedicate a portion of any proposed sales tax for investments in addiction treatment, recovery services, and facilities. Earlier this year the Washington State Legislature gave local jurisdictions the option to implement a one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) sales tax for public safety-related programs.
